With the “Bounce Back” Nationals gaining interest and commitments from BMXers across the country, USA BMX is out today with the next two races on the comeback trail of the 2020 National Series

Following a lot of waiting and beind-the-scenes wrangling, USA BMX announced today that the week after the Bounce Back Nationals in Pryor, OK on June 5-7, the tour will make its way out west for a rare same-year return to Black Mountain BMX in Phoenix for the newly-named “Desert Classic” Nationals on June 12-14.

After Phoenix, the rig will high-tail it East, and be in Rock Hill, SC on June 19-21 for the previously-postponed Carolina Nationals. Both new races (and the Bounce Back) will be three-day nationals, and none will be Pro Series races (Pro Open only, off the small hill in Rock Hill).

The Carolina Nats replaces the now-postponed Midwest Nationals, previously scheduled for the same weekend. Illinois Governor, JB Pritzker has been tightening COVID restrictions, so it looks like it’s going to be a while til we can hammer stakes into the ground at Searls Park.

Two additional BMX Canada races have been announced as canceled*:
The Greater Toronto Nationals – Stouffville, ON (June 19-21)
Firestorm Nationals – Kelowna, BC (June 26-28)
*The Frasier Valley Nationals in May were canceled previously.

Entry fee discounts in Phoenix:
For the Desert Classic Nationals, USA BMX will offer early bird discounts through Tuesday, June 9 at 5 p.m. PST ($10 off Class/Cruiser registrations and $5 off Open registrations). Online registration will close Friday, June 12 at 8 a.m. PST. Additionally, Spot’s weekend event insurance coverage will be available at each event as a $15 add-on during online registration.

“Stay to Save” is Back for Rock Hill
For the Carolina Nationals, USA BMX will be utilizing BMXHotels.com to offer discounted room blocks for participants and their families. Those families booking rooms through BMXHotels.com will receive a discount code to redeem for discounted race entries during the pre-sign period. This functionality will be made available in the coming week for the Carolina Nationals. Additionally, Spot’s weekend event insurance coverage will be available at each event as a $15 add-on during online registration.

No word in today’s release about the Great Salt Lake Nationals (June 26-28), or the Stars & Stripes Nationals in South Park, July 3-5.

The #NewsTeam will be watching for more developments on the above races, and other spots the 2020 USA BMX National Tour will head…so stay with us here, on Facebook and via Twitter for the latest.
