Jackal’s “Dirt Disneyland” For Lease

Purse Compound for Lease

We’ve all seen those backyard stomping grounds that the top pros and experts ride to keep killin it in the skills department. And every time we do, a healthy daydream session is always part of the viewing pleasure. “Man, if I had that spot, I’d do X and Y and Zzzzz” is usually how it goes. Well, short of a hefty Powerball jackpot, or a personal invite to shred and sleep, once we come out of it, we’re back at the community trails with the selfish masses who want the jumps DJ style and not race ready. Well, today could be the day that your dirt dreams become reality.

Got an email from John Purse late last week. He is making tracks to Puerto Rico to…well…make tracks. In case you haven’t heard, Jackal is moving down South to act as the “Johnny Appleseed” of the Puerto Rican BMX scene. In his new locale, he’ll be working to promote BMX Racing at the existing facilities, including the ABA track at Rincon where the ABA will hold its first offshore national in more than two decades (Oct 28-30). He will also be a Mr. Know-it-all-type to local officials and BMX boosters on the island. An unconfirmed rumor also has Jackal heavily involved in their 2012-and-beyond Olympic program (more on that in a future report).

So, with John out of the “Nifty 50,” and soaking up the Puerto Rican sun, his Spring, TX compound, just outside of Houston, is for lease…ready for a loving BMX family or “Motopreneur” to put their name on the mailbox.

Maybe you’re looking to take your clinic and coaching business to the next level…or maybe a national team looking for a private, permanent US base for your riders to shred seven days a week, and still have easy access to the white-hot US ABA/UCI scene. Or maybe you just have a couple Nov/Inter/Expert hotshoes in the chutes and are looking for a change in latitude to help their (your?) attitude. No matter…the Jackal compound has massive potential, and a homey atmosphere for you and the homies.

Jackal Packin’ a Podium

John Purse now riding a Pink Podium

Saw this tidbit on Twitter a few mins ago, @DoubleAPete tweeted “We are excited to have the Jackal riding on a Podium” and attached the above photo. John tweeted earlier “Thank you! This bike is great! Wow!” After parting ways with GHP after the ABA Grands, John was on a Redline (which we assume may have been in his garage as his pre-GHP ride). Jackal was in Oldsmar aboard the new hardware.
