Sam Willoughby Rides Again
BMX News has been following the incredible progress Sam Willoughby has been making in his recovery over the past 17 months. “A goal set, a goal achieved” is how we put it in a Facebook post after Sam walked down the aisle on New Years Eve to stand, eye-to-eye with his bride, Alise.

Well before that, we saw the video of Sam putting in work on a special stationary bike, getting his legs moving–which was an awesome sight, in itself.

This week, however, a new level was achieved, when Sam pedaled his Redline down the driveway and into the cul-de-sac of his San Diego home.

Tokyo 2020….?

Sam Willoughby (C6 Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury) is the first client I have worked with in almost 20 years who isn't walking yet, but can ride a bmx bike!
