2018 Hall Of Fame Nominations Open

If you’ve ever said “so-and-so NEEDS to be in the Hall Of Fame!,” you now have the opportunity to make it so. Yes, you have had that-very opportunity for several years, but let’s not focus on the coulda-shoulda-woulda here. The National BMX Hall Of Fame has opened up nominations for the Class of 2018.

This is the opportunity you have been waiting for, so bring together all the details of the BMX legend you have been talking about on social media, and get an official nomination posted.

There are six categories open for nomination:
- BMX PIONEER
- BMX RACER
- INDUSTRY (RACE AND FREESTYLE)
- EARLY FREESTYLE (PRE 1990)
- FREESTYLE
- WOMAN

AUTOMATIC NOMINATIONS: The second, third, and fourth-place nominees from each category from the previous year will receive an automatic nomination. The automatic nominees from last year’s voting are listed below.

There is, threfore, no need to re-nominate the following people because they will automatically be listed on the 2018 ballot:

- PIONEER: Brian Ramocinski, Stanley Robinson, and Mark Wegener
- RACER: Dale Holmes, Danny Nelson, and Randy Stumpfhauser
- INDUSTRY: Howie Cohen, Bob Morales, and Brian Scura

You don’t have to submit a nomination for your most-favored, but if you don’t, you surrender your right to complain about the fact that they are not in the Hall Of Fame.
