USA BMX Foundation Sets up Hurricane Help Fund
As we wait to see which direction Hurricane Maria is headed, we wanted to share a link to a GoFundMe that the USA BMX Foundation setup for a Disaster Relief Fund.

Those who want to donate and help the BMX Racing community affected by Harvey or Irma will know that their donation will stay within the BMX community to help a BMX track or a BMX family rebuild.

BMX Racing is a family. We all know someone who was directly-impacted by the recent storms in Texas and Florida.

Yes, tracks are damaged, but a far-more important issue at hand is the BMX families that are still displaced from their homes, separated from loved ones or out of work because of the destruction caused by the storm(s).

Let’s band together and raise some money to help our friends in need. 100% of funds raised will go directly to tracks and families filing a submission. For the price of your daily energy drink or coffee, we can make a major difference for those less fortunate.

NEWS asked the following questions:

- Is this a campaign just for tracks, or for BMX families, tracks and others in the BMX family?

Any rider or track who experienced a loss as a result of Hurricanes Harvey or Irma.

- Once the campaign reaches its tipping point, how will the funds be apportioned?

Based on the funds available for distribution, and the submissions filed.

- How can a potential recipient make the USA BMX Foundation aware of their needs?

File a submission, via email, at Give as much detail as possible about your situation, and include photos, if you have them.
