2011 ABA Grands Track Sketch

Boy-oh-boy it IS getting to be that time now, isn’t it? Right alongside turning down the annual Thanksgiving dinner invitation from Aunt Mary, and taking the “big car” in for a once-over before the turkeyday Tuesday trot to Tulsa…here, now, is the not-yet-official, subject-to-change, but kinda-final sketch of the ABA Grands Track.
Here’s the awesomeness, by the hand of gOrk. Spectator-side start with a first turn that leads into a Ams-right; Pros left splitter. No girl-pro section, as previous speculation surmised. Down the third straight in a single run, and then make a decision right or left for the final fling to the finish. Not sure, but looks shorter than last year’s track…and no “fly-over” berm jump for the pros, as has been the practice the past two years.
Initial reaction is thumbs-up-right-on from the few popular places we take temps on this kind of thing. Two weeks from now, it’ll be well-worn in, with a day of practice and a day of Presidents Cup/ROC traffic under wheel. We absolutely can’t wait! SeeYa There.
