BMX Racer Tim Strange Hosts Spike TV Series

You’ve probably heard riders rockin the “Strange Motion” colors called by the announcer at your favorite NBL or ABA locals or nationals for years.

Well, not only is “Strange Motion’ a really cool BMX Racing team name…it just happens to be inspired by the honest-to-goodness family name of Tim and Carrie Strange (and Rottweiler “Nitro”). Their company, Strange Motion, is one of the top HotRod/Custom crafters on God’s Green Earth.

If you dig pretty metal things on two wheels, then you are in for a real treat as you hit their website (link below), and dig on the four-wheel masterpieces to emerge from their shop.

A few months back, Tim (above, center) got the call to take his artistry to the masses, as host of Spike TV’s new Powerblock show “Search & Restore.”

So, Strange got into motion, and made the move seven hours South to the Music City, where the show is taping. “I love Nashville!” said Carrie at a recent Illinois NBL State Race. She also made it clear she would be fulfilling her duties as current Illinois NBL State Commissioner. Solid!

Tim and Carrie are dyed-in-the-wool BMXers, and have done a ton for the Midwest BMX Racing scene, both through the team and volunteering their skills to build a new gate for legendary NBL track, Detweiller BMX in Peoria, IL. They have also brought the Hot Rod community into the fun of the BMX Racing scene, promoting the “Hot Rod Challenge” down at Derby City BMX in Louisville during a national car show. There, the heavies of the industry turned up to take some laps, and soak up some of that unique hospitality that only a BMX race can provide.

The show premieres May 7 on Spike, and the Strange Motion BMX team is hosting a viewing party at the NBL Regional in East Moline, IL the same day.

News has the DVR set to “season pass,” and is looking forward to all the awesomeness Tim and his TV team have to serve up to the audience.

We’ll be down in NashVegas next month, and hope to bring you more with Tim and Carrie from their new turf in the 615.

Congratulations, Tim, and best of luck with the show!
