Nothing Exceeds Like Excess

So, no surprise that when we gave the Product Spotlight Wheel-of-Fortune a spin this morning, the clicker landed squarely on the 351 Pro Wheel Set from Excess components.

There is some serious win potential laced into these bad boys, combining uber-quality Sun rims, made exclusively for BRG, the high-rollin “Excel” cassette hubs (four pawls, 96 points of engagement), 14-gauge stainless spokes with alloy nips, and five color choices (Black, Polished, Red, White and Blue) to give your whip that full-factory flava.

The 351 is available is five sizes (20×1.125, 20×1.375, 20×1.5, 20×1.75 and 24×1.75 — quick, convert those to fractions!) and includes a 16t cog (which is alloy on the probably-weight-conscious 20×1.125, 20×1.375).

Speaking of tipping the scales, looking at the 20×1.75 as a benchmark, the set is 800 and 980 grams for the front and rear, respectively (quick, convert that to ounces!).
