BMX Edit: “Kris Fox – BMX Rider”
The movement of motion is making its way into BMX racing more and more. A long-practiced medium in BMX Freestyle, the racing side of the “BMX race” has been slow to adopt the shoot & chop world of video edits as a means to communicate between riders and fans.
This week, filmmaker Dylan Pfohl released a two-and-a-half-minute edit with Factory Supercross star Kris Fox. We haven’t seen Kris at the nationals lately, but he is still on his bike, and tearin’ it up. Pfohl’s edit lets Kris tell the tale of his passion for BMX, of any flavor, and gives us some pulse-quickening footage from the Apple Valley BMX Moto Park, as well as Nasty’s trails in Tehachapi, and Kris shredding some concrete at the Jurupa Skatepark in Riverside.
Edits like this give us the up close & personal on our favorite riders, and put some production-value polish on the project that isn’t possible with a quick-capture “shoot & show” a lot of us get on our iPhones and similar cams.

Word is that Kris will be making his return to the starting hill as an A Pro at the ABA Winter Nationals in a couple weeks.
