Nobles Builds Beachfront SX Track

Barry Nobles' Beachfront SX Sand Track

When Joe Citizen goes to the beach, it is all lounge chairs, umbrellas and sand castles–maybe a dip in the drink to cool off.

But not BMXers. Riding is always top-of-mind, and if you can’t actually tear it up on the track just then, well, that energy has to go somewhere.

While down in Australia doing some clinics, SE Factory Ace Barry Nobles soaked up some sun on one of the awesome beaches, but he wasn’t building sand castles. Instead, a fully-dialed scale model of his dream Supercross track.

The starting hill is at top right, and the first straight looks like some of the Supercross tracks you’ve seen before. But that first turn, whoa. A gap jump immediately on exit would be a real white-knuckle ride. The box jump in the third straight, and turn-to-gap in the last turn also pretty burly.

Pretty cool stuff #95. Tom Ritz…you got your ears on? Ritz & Co are going to be building the real deal, beachside, in Sarasota for the UCI BMX World Cup this September.
