Sarasota, FL to Host UCI Supercross In September

Today, the fourth stop on the 2011 UCI World Cup calendar (Previously listed as “TBC – North America”) has now been filled in. The race will be held in Sarasota, FL on September 16-17. That overlaps with the last day of the Interbike trade show, so chance are we won’t be seeing very many Elite BMXers in the aisles of the show (though maybe on the first show day).

For industry types who aren’t racing, that will mean missing the time trials day, or cutting short their trip to Interbike, and hopping a big bird to the Sunshine state. Two weeks later, we’re back on the westbound jet routes, to SAN for the World Cup season finale in Chula Vista.

We have not seen an official press release on the Sarasota World Cup, but will report any pertinent details once it hits the inbox.
