Brooke Crain Hops Over to Haro

Lately, the Clayborn Factory Team roster has looked a lot like a train taking fans to a ball game. It hits the stadium stop, everyone gets off, and one or two lonely riders remain.

First, Brodie Spott made the move over to the new IPOT incarnation, then Barry Nobles paired off with SE Racing, and now Brooke Crain trades in her classic blue Clayborn kit for the bad boy black.

“Not to worry,” says Clayborn honcho, Richard Bunt. In a post on Vintage this morning, Richard wrote:

We are proud of Brooke Crain and Barry Nobles. We at Clayborn know our limits and budgets, that is how we are able to stay around. As hard as it is, we know our role in BMX and are always excited to see a rider get more than we can offer…… Barry and Brooke are both top class and will always be a part of the Clayborn family! We will pull for them and wish them nothing but the best…

… Clayborn will continue with Jordan Miranda, Thomas Harper and who knows who else, as we have had some very good resumes come in, just going to take the time to make sure we offer someone a spot on the team that we feel will represent Clayborn and all our sponsors, as well as BMX as a whole in a professional manner… View full post

Brooke, herself, posted a thank you on Vintage shortly after the thread that broke the story was posted, saying:

I am very excited about my move to Haro and Rockstar, its been a goal of mine for a while…I want to thank Richard Bunt and Cheryl Wells for everything they have done for me in the last few years. Bunt and Cheryl are two of the most awesome people you can ever meet. I would also like to thank Jeff Glynn from the Monster Army, Profile, Fly, HRP Designs, Sinz and THE Products, Tangent Products, Rennen, and Vicky from Style Industries. Jordan, Barry and Brodie have been awesome team mates and I couldn’t thank all of these people enough. 2011 is going to be an awesome year…I cant wait!
