Bradford Injured, Out Of Cruiser Chase
They say trouble always comes in threes. We can’t help but think Kenth Fallen is hoping they’re right, as Vet Pro is the sole remaining ABA Pro class unaffected by last-minute injury at the top.
After accidents took out Lady Pro points leader, Alise Post, and top-AA-contender, Maris Strombergs from the title chase, Saturday saw Pro Cruiser points leader, Joey Bradford, carried off the track after a first turn lay-down in the second round of AA Pro qualifying. Later in the day, JB posted the following on his Facebook page
Needed to catch up on some sleep second round! Knocked Out, broken hand, broken wrist in two spots and some light tissue damage in my neck. Find out next week if I’ll need surgery
Of course we are saying, in a very tongue-in-cheek fashion, that Kenth may be counting his lucky stars and hoping trouble comes in threes. He and Joey are quite close, and Kenth rushed to JB’s side on the track. He just happens to be the points leader of the only class unscathed by the modern-day hoodie-hoo. The Am leaders are probably thinking similarly. It ain’t over til it’s over.
Update: Congratulations to Barry Nobles, 2010 ABA #1 Pro Cruiser Champion, and Kenth Fallen– Vet Pro Champ three years running.
