Lance Armstromg’s Mom Talks BMX Racing

At today’s fourth annual “Pink the Basin” Breast Cancer Awareness luncheon in Odessa, TX, Linda Armstrong Kelly, mother to Lance Armstrong, tells the story of Lance’s first BMX race bike, and how she sacrificed paying the rent to get it for him. In Linda’s speech, it is obvious that she credits BMX Racing, and the experience and memories gained from racing the local program, at least in part, for Lance’s ultimate success in cycling.

The sound is a bit low, so grab some earphones, or pull your laptop real close, and listen to another in a string of success stories of how BMX Racing led to extraordinary success later in life.
