Interbike Back to Anaheim for 2011

BMXNEWS will be in Las Vegas next week, reporting from the floor of the annual Interbike trade show. It will be the last time the bike industry hears the plink, plink, plink of slot machine hoppers filling up for a while. Bicycle Retailer magazine posted a story on its Website, dated September 10, with news that the show will be moving back to the Anaheim Convention Center with the 2011 installment.
The show has not been in Anaheim since 1997, but the convention center had undergone a major renovation in recent years. These renovations have modernized the facilities, and have brought the center into “The Anaheim Resort,” which includes both Disney parks, as well as other visitor amenities, such as hotels, restaurants and bars.
The Bicycle Retailer piece noted that the show would reside in Anaheim for at least three years.
We’re going to miss hopscotching from one table to the next at the Treasure Island lobby bar, but are already scouting out prime spots for next year.
