Rennen/Intense ABA Charlotte report
Hello All,
Stop number one in our “summer grind” race tour was in Charlotte, NC for the ABA’s East Coast National. As should be expected in North Carolina in the month of June, it was HOT outside. But Hornets Nest offered up some hot racing action also, as Mark Coates and his crew had the track in peak condition. Rennen/Intense is no stranger to this track and it showed as the team took two Factory Team division wins in Charlotte, and here are the riders that made it happen:
Chris Meaker looked as stylish as ever running his Alienation rim bands on his home track, scoring a pair of deuces in the 36-40 expert class. Pat Parker knows how to make a pair of Fly patrol pants look good, and he did just that taking them to a weekend double in the 28-25 expert class in Charlotte.
Max Egdorf took the bridesmaid position on day one in 19-27 expert, then strapped on his THE Burning Vine helmet on day two and took the win leading the team sheet to a nice 195 score. Austin Loebe pushed his Profile cranks and hubs to the podium both days in 17-18 expert. Cam Moore turned a pair of day one second place finishes in 12x & cruiser into a day two double. TJ Maniscalchi worked his way into the 12 expert main both days using his Morphine Helium bars. CJ Fisher was on the Podium all three days of the Junior Development races with a 1st and two 2nds. Will Murray put his Intense Podium frame ON the podium with a 2nd in the pro class on day 1. Melissa Woodruff had a perfect weekend with two cruiser wins on her ITS MK2 tires. Rob McAllister was on the podium both days in the 41-45 cruiser class.
