AA Profile
Oops, we forgot, AA is called “Elite” now. With that, Profile Racing’s long-awaited, lusted-after “Elite” hubs are a mere hours from hitting store shelves. Much like tomorrow’s release of the iPad, expect lines to form, and people to be camping outside their local bike shop to be one of the privileged few to plunk down the plastic to procure some of these puppies.
What makes the Elite so…well…elite is the “UltraDriver” cassette, which has 204 points of engagement, and is as close to “direct engagement” as you can get without donning a messenger bag, some chops and a flannel and riding a fixie.
Doing one better than Henry Ford on this one (who famously said “you can have any color you want, as long as it’s black”), Profile is releasing the Elites in Black AND Blue on day one (with red to follow soon).
Aluminum cogs in 13t-18t are available, and steel cogs are available from 12t on up.
