Desoto Race Report: SS Cranks

March 24, 2010 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

Addison Finch of Team SS Cranks

Most of the SSCranks team made the trek to Desoto, Texas for the ABA Super Nationals and the USAC National Championship race. We are certainly proud of all of their efforts.

Starting off with Addison Finch winning day one and pulling a 4th on day 2. She chose not to race the USAC and leave that
to her Big Bro Walker. While Momma and brother were out braving the cold she was sitting at the hotel staying warm.

Next up would be Hannah Tavenner in the 13 Girls class. Making it through semis and pulling off a pair of thirds for the
weekend. She had a solid second going for her on Sunday, but a slight bobble in the last straight dropped her to third.

In 14 Girls and JDP class, Mackenzie Ericson was able to put together some respectable podium, and top-four finishes.

The Boys were no less impressive, with Ethan (the Bull) Moore fighting to end up with a pair of fifth place finishes in class, and a fifth and a third in 6 and Under open. A little more seasoning and he should be ready to add some podium finishes to the books.

Coming off a win in AZ., Jordan “MOJO” McMullen had a pretty good weekend, scoring up a pair of seconds in 13x and a third in 13/14 open. He also chose to hang at the hotel keeping Addison and Sully company on Saturday. He put in some good laps over the weekend, but just didn’t have enough for the class leader. With football and wrestling out of the way now, you may find him at a few more nationals.

Last but not least, Zane “Magic Man” Johnson, made it through quarters and semis into the main on Friday taking a Seventh in the tough 19-27x class. He missed the main on Sunday, but was relieved to be out of the cold.

Congratulations to all of the riders and parents braving the weather.

We would also like to wish Brian “BJ” Ensey good luck in Oregon. He will be the lone wolf representing us in 11x.
