Cru Jones to Appear in a Supercross Jersey on “Tosh.0″

Smilin’ Bill Ryan called the other day to give us some scoop on the whereabouts and moves of Bill Allen—Cru Jones from the 1980’s BMX motion picture “Rad.” Seems Cru is getting some small screen time in next week on Comedy Central. Here’s what Bill R sent along:
Bill (Allen) is a great friend of ours and we have brought him out to a few events (the lines for his autograph are always huge, at Interbike there was a longer line for Bill’s autograph than roadbike legend Greg Lemond). Bill called last week to say that he was going on the “TOSH.0″ show, and that he was taking his Supercross BMX bike along for the skit, and asked for a jersey.
Luckily, Rich and Juan at “Block” were able to drop everything and get a custom Supercross Factory Jersey made that featured all of the team co-sponsor logos, along with “Cru Jones” and the “Rad Racing” logo on the back over the #1. Bill taped the episode on Monday and it will air on Comedy Central next Wednesday, Jan. 20th at 10:30 PST.
While not BMX specific, the TOSH.0 show is the second-highest rated show on cable, with over 2 million viewers per episode getting exposed to the Supercross name, along with all of our co-sponsors. Hopefully this extra exposure will give all of our brands, and the sport of BMX Racing, in general, a bit of extra mainstream exposure.
We have the TiVo set, and look forward to seeing Cru and his Supercross ride!
