GT Marketing Man Steve Spencer Talks 2010 and Beyond

November 13, 2009 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

Steve Spencer of GT Bicycles joins us for an interview on their BMX Racing program for 2010

Depending on what era you entered BMX, the GT brand may call certain memories in your mind. If in the early days, you might remember Andy Patterson and the 1/4 page B&W ads in Bicycle Motocross Action magazine with their now-famous Santa Ana address. Or if in the 80s, you’ll surely remember Greg Hill, Eddie Fiola, Martin Aparijo, Gary Ellis and the other stars of BMX Racing and Freestyle. In the 90s it was “The Firm,” and world dominance, capped off by the tragic loss of company co-founder and visionary Richard Long.

In the modern era, it has been the rise to stardom of Mike Day, Joey Bradford and on the 2009 team, Arielle Martin.

BMXNEWS caught up with GT acting Sports Marketing Manager Steve Spencer for a discussion on where the brand, and the product line, is going in the future.
