November 24, 2009 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

USA Cycling Announces second half of 2010 Jr. Development Camps. BMXNEWS.COM reports on BMX Racing news.
This came in earlier in the week, but got delayed by the ABA Pro Rules release. This definitely qualifies as “Top Story” material, so wanted to make sure y’all knew about it.

Download the informational PDF containing all the important details.

BMXNEWS asked a few questions about the contents of the PDF. These, and the answers submitted by USAC’s MIke King, are as follows:

Q: Are there only two camps in 2010, or is that just for the first half of the year? Or are the camps in the latter half of 2010 really part of the 2011 series due to the date of the national championship?

A: The camps in the last half of 2010 (after Aug 1, 2010) are part of the 2011 camp series. Remember, this program mirrors the UCI calendar and we will announce the 2011 JPD camp series in the Spring of 2010. The remaining camps will probably be in June and November.

Q: Regarding Bonus Points, what is the definition of a “Group” (a “rack”?).

A: Correct, a moto or a “rack” of riders is defined as a group.

Regarding:

Points Structure Starting in January of 2010 this series will count each rider’s best three (3) USA Cycling Local scores and each rider’s best four (4) USA Cycling National scores.

Q: If this is starting in January 2010, how will scores earned for listed races in 2009 be treated?

A: Only National level scores will count for races held in 2009.
