BMXNEWS.COM reports on BMX Racing Team news with Tim Dinger signing to Morphine

Ever since the Formula Factory Team splintered last Spring, the betting windows have been open on what team would land the man, Mr. Tim Dinger. Some call him “The nicest guy in BMX Racing,” most just call him “Dinger” (one name—as one would reference Madonna or Bono), and the world Masters community simply calls him “el Cuatro Mundo” (not really, but I like the sound of it). Wednesday night, the secret BMXNEWS tipster hotline rang and a muffled voice said, simply “Dinger. Morphine. (click).”

By Thursday, it was out. Tim and Morphine were a done deal. The release added the following insight:

“Morphine Industries is stoked to announce the addition of Vet Pro Tim Dinger to its Factory team. We could not been more excited to add such a great rider, person and all around good dude to our family. Tim brings with him a presence and attitude that exemplifies Morphine Industries’ philosophy of having fun while backin’ it up on the track. Tim rounds out our 10 member factory team with an exclamation point.

Dinger is no stranger to being at the on the top of the National and World stage with a treasure chest full of single digit plates. His talent speaks for itself. Come on… what guy can borrow someone’s cruiser he has never ridden at the Worlds and finish with a World #2 plate. Not to mention riding the World’s longest wheelie out of the gate to get the W#4 plate on his 20”, back up by the World #2 from 2007 & 2008. That is a testament to his love of the sport and raw skill as a rider.”

In the same release, Tim was quoted as saying:

“I am really stoked to join the already-stellar Morphine Industries team. They have a ton of talented riders that really like to go out there and have fun while racing hard. Morphine makes killer products and they have amazing sponsors that I am looking forward to represent this year. I would like to thank Jonathan (Reeves) from Morphine, for the opportunity to represent Morphine Industries this year and I look forward to a great 2010 season.”

It is clear to see that both sponsor and rider are…well…”stoked.” Look for Tim to suit up in the Pink, Black & White for the ABA Disney Cup in Orlando, later this month. Since Tim’s choice race ride was swiped earlier this month, BMXNEWS will be keeping a keen eye on both the new uni and what’s under it.
