Mike Day Gets Down in Guthrie

The first round of the UCI North America Continental Series happened today in Guthrie, OK. Run in conjunction with the ABA Sooner nationals, the UCI race was also the first race filmed for the freshly-announced ABA-Universal Sports TV series. In today’s main event, US Olympian Mike Day, who was nearly eliminated in the semi before staging a comeback over the pro section, came out of gate 5 to neutralize a narrow Kyle Bennett holeshot for the win. The podium turned out to be Day for GT, Bennett for Free Agent and 2008 ABA National #1 Khalen Young for Haro Bikes.
