ABA’s 2009 Season Gets Started in Silver State
The 2009 ABA National Season is in the gate and ready to roll. Friday's practice turned out all the old faces, many in new colors…and still more sporting their new NAG and National numbers. Of special note was the appearance of Olympic Golden boy, Maris Strombergs (above, in his new Free Agent rags), who flew Paris-Chicago-Reno, bypassing his new SoCal home as a first stop.
AA is going to be absolutely off-the-hook this weekend. Who knows what the main will end up being, but the motos alone will be harder than many national mains. You'll have ABA, NBL and UCI/Olympic 1 in the personage of KY, Stumpy and Maris, respectively. Add to that that, at the same time and place, you'll also have an Olympic-podium rematch.
