Steven Cisar Apology

October 16, 2008 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

cisarheaderajpg.jpgAn Apology to the BMX Community from Steven Cisar - On September 23rd of this year at the Dew Tour in Salt Lake City, I tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive substance found in the cannabis plant. I make absolutely no excuses for my actions, other than to say, I did an incredibly dumb and irresponsible thing. I want to express my most sincere apologies to my sponsors, fellow competitors, family, friends, and fans who have supported me over the years.

I am so appreciative of the opportunities Ive been extended, my God given talents, and the support I have received. I can only hope that I will not be judged by one poor decision, as that is not who I am or what I stand for. I value hard work, clean racing, integrity, and the camaraderie I share with the racing community. More than anything, I love racing my bike.

Throughout the course of life, we will all make mistakes. I have certainly learned from this one, and will not compromise my values or let down my fans again.

Sincerely,

Steven Cisar
