Scenes from Interbike – Where’s all the color?
Interbike is over and it was a busy show this year. Once again, BMX race bikes are available in a wide array of colors like black, matte black, and white. Well, to be fair, MCS had a better range than everyone else but Freestyle still wins by a mile. There seemed to be a good buzz around the BMX section this year and the boys at Alienation are on the move. Ryan Birk and Zach Taylor have been reunited and are looking to take a chunk of Sun Ringle's market share back – So far, so good. Bill Ryan at Supercross had a busy corner and his booth generated a ton of buzz – Cru Jones, from the classic flick, RAD, was in the booth signing autographs on Thursday and Friday. Wonder if we'll see a 25th Anniversary DVD soon?
Redline's French flyers were there along with many other euros and even a few Australians like Luke Madill. UGP had a ton of new stuff and they've just joined forces with Team Green in Moto. Jason Rogers wore out the carpet in a few areas looking for his next ride and the Olympic Medalists were busy signing autographs. Congrats to Mike Day for winning the Nora Cup - Will we see him in Blue and Yellow next year? Maybe? Maybe not… Check out the full story in BMXWORLD or BMX Plus! Mags later this fall.
