Bennett and Hayashi take NBL Golden State Day 1

June 21, 2008 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

nbl-wos-logo.gifThe results are for the Day One at the NBL Golden State Nationals in Prunedale, California. A rain delay just before the mains made things interesting and added some drama to the day's racing. Masters World Champ, Dale Holmes kept his winning ways intact and won the class. This should tighten up the chase at the NBL Grands. Travis Ohrazda was less than 20 feet from winning the Super-Ex main but a crash on the last double changed things quickly. Jason Morris ended up with the fortunate win.Â

NBL 5x National Champion, Kim Hayashi was back racing after injury and was in form to take the win ahead of Geving and Canada's Danielle Brisson. And… in Elite Men, Kyle Bennett, who keeps on winning and winning, added yet another victory to his belt (and wallet). Bennett, who led from the start, almost got passed by local Joey Bradford, who made the move in turn two. This was Bradford's best performance in some time and should give him some confidence.'
