Time Out – What is the future of Bicycle Motocross?

The Olympics will no doubt elevate the sport to another level and we just hope that the winner has public speaking capabilities. But is it the BMX we really want the World to see? Will a kid get ramped up about seeing a BMX 'Racer' ride down a big ramp and hit the track at 40mph? Will he froth at the mouth over the explanation on how 'clip' shoes and pedals keep you attached to your bike? Or will the sport look like a combination of Road, Downhill Skiing and Boardercross and will that somehow make BMX look 'hip' and 'cool'.

Though you can't argue with evolution, is it really what BMX should be? Technology doesn't necessarily mean advancement so what should BMX look like? What is the Bicycle Motocross of the future….. of '08?{mos_smf_discuss:Front Page News}
