Boulder City BMX hosts NBL National/UCI Series

The 2008 NBL National Series heads to the Boulder City BMX track in Nevada on October 19-21. The Lake Mead Nationals will feature two days of NBL National racing and the world's top Elite and Junior athletes will converage for two UCI North American Continental Series races held on Friday and Saturday. The crew at Boulder City BMX will have the track in race-ready shape and the weekend will be filmed by www.go211.com.

The Lake Mead National is the first Western date on the '08 schedule and offers two days of National series racing under the new NBL Class structure and will be run using the new Random Gate system. The new system has been in place for two National weekends and has received rave reviews proving that the NBL is once again leading the industry in advancing the sport. The NBL also adopted the Transponder Timing system for the UCI series to stay true to UCI standards.

The UCI Continental races, along with the NBL Elite series, continue to attract national and international athletes from around the world. All of the big names including Free Agent's Kyle Bennett (UCI World Champion / NBL National Champion) and North American UCI points leader, GT's Mike Day, will be in Boulder City looking to earn more valuable UCI points in their quest to earn Olympic berths.

NBL has played a key role in getting BMX into the Olympic program and we are proud to be a part of the exciting process that will see BMX in the 2008 Games in Beijing, China.
