amanda_07.jpgHello, this is Mr. Bill , father and representative of Amanda Geving, BMX Pro Women rider.
This letter is being sent out to inform you of Amanda Geving's recent accomplishments to date. As you may or may not be aware, Amanda has been a Pro Women racer for the past three years and due to her turning 18 this past February and the new rules for the Olympic Elite Class age being 19, Amanda has had to race in the Junior Elite Women's Class of 17-18 year olds. Since racing in the Junior class, Amanda has Podiumed first at 13 consecutive UCI races on her 20" bicycle and 11 consecutive wins on her cruiser against international competition. Amanda has also achieved great dominance in the State of Florida winning eight consecutive years on two bicycles, with the last three years being pro. Amanda has not lost a main event in these eight years. Amanda was awarded 2007 Rider of the Year over all Pro's and Amateur's in the state of Florida.Â

USA Cycling has formed Team USA's Long Program for the Olympics and seven USA women and nine USA men are part of this program. Only two women and three men will earn the right to go to Beijing, China for the 2008 Olympics. Amanda has just recently been selected to the USA's funded BMX Team to race in Victoria, Canada this July and will be trying and needing support to attend the remaining SuperCross UCI races in Beijing, China, Paris, France and 15 other locations to be named later, all between July 2007 and May 2008, most of these being International races. Amanda has just graduated High School with Honors and is attending a local college on a Presidential Scholarship while training and traveling to necessary races to make the Olympic Team.
