Intense BMX/Socko Energy Pro Team

May 18, 2007 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

Round 6 of the 2007 ABA Pro Series was this past weekend in Roseville, CA. A West Coast ABA National event is always action packed and stacked for the AA Pros and the Nor Cal Nationals was no exception. 28 of the worlds top AA Pros were ready to go for the win but as we know, only one rider can win AA each day.
Intense/Socko Pro Danny Caluag made his return to the ABA Pro tour after a badly broken leg he suffered in February, and he looked to see where his comeback training has put him against the other AA Pros. Brandon Meadows is a local to the Roseville track and was hoping to take another National Pro Main event win here.
The Intense BMX/Socko Energy AA Pro team was ready to go for the elusive AA Pro win and get the Nor Cal Fans pumped up. Both riders had a great weekend of racing and here is how they finished up.

Danny Caluag had an incredible start of the 2007 race season, with a slew of wins in both the ABA and NBL, but a bad crash in early February had him sidelined with a badly broken leg. Danny had been working on staying in race shape and being AA strong, but how would he fair at his first ABA National back after his injury? Danny stunned the Nor Cal crowd as he raced his way into both days AA Pro main events and finishing up with a huge with a 1st and 2nd in AA Pro, as well as two 2nds in Pro Cruiser. This kid is just plain incredible and it seems nothing can hold him down. Brandon Meadows has always raced well at the Roseville track, as he lives just minutes away, and this past weekend was one of his most consistent weekends of 2007. Brandon wound up making all 4 Pro Main events that he entered. On Saturday, Brandon was up for a 2nd overall going into the last main event, but a crash would push him all the way back to a 6th for the day. Things didn’t get any better for him in Pro Open, as another crash netted him a 7th. On Sunday, things were a bit better with a 2nd in Pro Open and a 5th in AA Pro.
