I have worked with Arielle in a limited capacity for 5 years with product and some contingency programs, and I have always wanted to assist her more with her goals in BMX, but now I am in a position to offer her a contract and have her as our teams Girl Pro. ARIELLE brings with her numerous achievements in her BMX career including, 2007 Awarded USA Cycling Podium Program Athlete, 2006 United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Operation Gold recipient, 2006 ABA #3 Overall Womens Pro, 2006 6th place UCI World Championships, 2005 ABA #3 overall Womens Pro, 2005 NBL #3 overall Elite Woman, 2004 ABA #2 overall Womens Pro, 2004 NBL #3 overall Womens Pro, 2003 NBL #2 overall Elite Woman, 2003 ABA #6 overall Womens Pro, 2001 NBL #3 overall Elite Woman, 2001 ABA #5 overall Womens Pro.
OLYMPIC HOPEFUL – With 16 months to go until the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, ARIELLE has her sites set on being there for BMXs Olympic premiere.
ARIELLE has a full plate, along with her BMX career she is a Full-time Student at Brigham Young University. Bachelor of Science, Exercise Science. Expected graduation: April 2007, she has 4 years experience as physical therapy aid for Professional Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, and she is a Private BMX cycling coach and trainer, not to mention she has recently gotten married. Her husband is a Black Hawk helicopter mechanic for the United States Army and has full intentions of becoming a pilot within the next few years. Arielle states he is very supportive of whatever she does.
ARIELLE underwent complete ACL reconstructive surgery January 18th after crashing at the NBL Christmas Classic. She was fortunate enough to have former Olympian and world renowned knee surgeon Dr. Eric Heiden (5 Gold medals in the 1980 Olympics for speed skating) perform the surgery at The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital (TOSH) in Salt Lake City. TOSH specializes in working with elite athletes and is known for their success in surgery and rehabilitation. Four weeks later and Arielle is back on the bike cycling every day and working hard to set records at physical therapy. Her therapist and doctor both are very impressed with the improvement she has made as she continues to cut her recovery time in half.
Arielle has plans to be back on the BMX bike racing in top condition again by the US National Championships in June and is very excited and proud to make her debut in the colors of Action Sports Depot in her new FLY gear along with her faithful co-sponsors: Shimano, Cytomax, and Oakley supporting her again for the 2007 season.
