FMF Heating it up for 07

January 18, 2007 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

FMF finished up the 06 season at the ABA Grand National with the curse of the crash. In the mains we had Drew crash just before the finish line when going for 1st and knocked her to 8th. The Josh Klatman was out front in his Cruiser main when he threw a chain and crashed into the front of the step-up on the first straight. As Josh put it NAG1 to 5 in 5 seconds. Co-factory rider Caleb Wall did good and took home the big 1st place trophy shown above.2007 came around and Reno started off the season new. We had a small group show up there as Josh was still out recovering from his broken shoulder from his Grands crash. Drew and Hayden Mechielsen and Dan and Cassie Bushnell were there and riding hard. Rosemary has moved on to the Canada team and will be missed by us. We wish her luck in her racing. This 1st race is always a tough one when you come from up north. The weather isnt very good for training and its tough to keep the work ethic up between Grands and Reno in January. We had good finishes but low group counts so team score doesnt show how good we were. Drew raced in mixed open and 9 Girl bringing home a 1st in open Saturday and 3rd in class. Sunday she came back determined and got 2nd in open and 1st in class. Hayden had a little tougher time but did come home with a 5th on Cruiser Sunday. Cassie racing the Girl Pro class came home with 8th on Saturday and 5th on Sunday. Dan doubled in the 51-56 Cruiser class with 1st both days. We raced well and look forward to a solid year. We will hopefully be adding a couple more riders and Josh should be back soon with a vengeance by Pasco. We would also like to thank Cliff Bars for keeping us energized at Reno with there great supply of bars and drinks and Fly racing for helping us to look good and keep us safe with helmets and pants.
