The moral to the story is, Lock your bike up..and be Safe!”"Actual Bicycle News – A city juvenile reported Monday his BMX-style bike was stolen near Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Police said the boy was at a friend’s house when the bike was stolen from outside the home. The bike was valued at $900. Actual Bicycle News – A BMX rider has appeared in court accused of landing a pensioner in hospital with a broken ankle after attacking him. Actual Bicycle News – Two youths aged about 16, both on silver BMXs and wearing hoods and scarf masks, demanded his mobile. When Andreas refused they stabbed him and cycled off. Actual Bicycle News – The youths who attacked him are described as two males, aged about 16. Both were riding silver BMX cycles and wearing black hooded tops and scarves across their faces, and baggy track suit bottoms. Actual Bicycle News – Philip Potter, prosecuting, said the victim was riding his BMX bike when he was surrounded by four boys, one of them the defendant. He took hold of the handlebars and said if the other boy didn’t get off he would beat him up. Actual Bicycle News – The youths, described as aged between 17 and 20, one of them on a red BMX bike, surrounded him on a zebra crossing at the junction of Willoughby Lane and Northumberland Park Road. They demanded he hand over his property, but the victim, originally from Lithuania, refused. The robbers then slashed open his jacket pockets with knives, taking his wallet and Oyster card, but the victim refused to hand over his mobile phone. Actual Bicycle News – A San Diego man who pleaded guilty to molesting two East County boys he sponsored in BMX racing competitions is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday.”
