FMF Factory report from Reno
FMF factory had 5 riders attend the national in Reno and come out with some impressive wins. Saturday when the mains started Drew Mechielsen started it off for the team with her usual 1st place finish in 9 girls. Then her brother Hayden Mechielsen followed that with a win in 10 Cruiser. Josh Klatman couldnt let the Mechielsen duo out do him so he followed up with a win in 15 Cruiser showing his snap out of the gate and never looking back.”Dan Bushnell couldnt quite keep up the pace but finished the 51-55 Cruiser with a 2nd place finish. Cassie Bushnell the team Girl Pro was still coming off a knee injury but was looking good. She came home Saturday with 5th place money. In the other classes on Saturday, Drew had a tough time on cruiser crashing in the main. Hayden got 6th in the 10 expert class and Josh got 5th in 15 expert. The team finished 5th for the day in the team competition. Sunday once again all team members were in all of their mains. Drew again took 1st in class and got hung up in cruiser but still coming home with a 5th. Not bad for a girl that just turned 9 in the 10 and under class. Hayden pulled a 3rd in Cruiser and 7th in Class. Josh again won 15 cruiser and got 6th in class. Dan stepped up and won his Cruiser class. Cassie started off with hitting the gate the 1st moto then coming back to finish with a 3rd overall and a podium finish for the day. The team finished with a 6th place in the factory team competition. This year has had some tough times with injuries and not getting everyone to the races but the team is coming together now with the end of the year coming we should be good and strong. The Canadian Grands are coming and we hope to be a force there in the Factory competition.”
