Avent/Bombshell Press Release: Kiyomi Waller takes the NBL Title

“Louisville, KY The location for the 2006 NBL Grand Nationals is one of the best NBL tracks in the country. The race weekend started off Friday with practice. Kiyomi looked very confident in practice as he has been there several times before. On Saturday the weather was overcast and slightly drizzling. Fortunately, it didnt rain all day. There were 460+ motos with 19 riders in the Vet Class. Kiyomi swept motos, finishing 1st in all three. which guaranteed him a spot on Sunday. Making the most of the weekend, Kiyomi also raced 30+ Open with 48 riders. He won the first two motos and got a cruise lap for moto 3. Sunday was going to be a busy day.”"Sundays weather was much more warmer with scattered clouds and a slight breeze, perfect for racing. Race action started off with Elite Opens 3rd round and immediately afterwards they went into 1/8ths, then 1/4s. Kiyomi won the Open and Class and Open Semi. The top three riders were all in the Masters main. I was in lane 8, which I didnt mind because I had that lane last year in the masters main and finished 2nd. Second was more than enough to take the title home to San Diego. This would be his first 20 pro title and second would clinch it. Kiyomi pulled off a repeat of 05 taking second from lane 8 and now the title. After all the elite mains, they had the year end awards near the finish line. It was so cool to have all of the photographers and video guys there! Kiyomi Waller. Even with that Kiyomi got into lane 8 to take first in Open, earning himself two titles for the weekend.
