NBL launches Bring-A-Buddy National Rider Recruiting Program aimed at boosting membership. The National Bicycle League is proud to introduce a new program aimed at promoting the sport of BMX Racing outside of our direct community and into the schools and playgrounds across America. The new NBL Bring-A-Buddy program is a unique new rider recruitment effort designed to encourage current NBL members to promote BMX and recruit their buddies to try BMX racing for the first time.”Knowing that word-of-mouth marketing is once again emerging as a powerful marketing tool, we are providing each member with Bring-A-Buddy recruiter cards inside the June and July issues of BMX Today Magazine and with it, a chance to win some major prizes including a Hyper Assault frame, a week at Camp Woodward, and more. With more than 20,000 members across the country, the NBL will be selling the sport directly through our end consumer NBL riders and tracks, and in turn, rewarding them for their efforts. Riders will distribute the cards to their buddies and when a buddy redeems the card at any NBL track, both the recruiter and buddy will be entered into a huge prize draw. The program also offers incentives to tracks and recruiters for their accumulated achievements with a Grand prize draw set for September 15. Sound good so far? It gets better. Weve designed a flexible program that allows each track to choose what kind of event and award they provide to the buddy. This keeps paperwork at a minimum and allows the NBL to track the program effectively says Jason Schiefelbein, NBL Field Director. Recruiters and Buddies will also be able to view monthly prizing, recruiting statistics, and other exciting news through a dedicated page on our website at www.nbl.org. The NBL is working hard to build a network of grass-roots programs that will channel potential riders to local NBL BMX tracks and with several of these programs in place, we are planning to capture the interest generated by Olympic TV and media coverage and ultimately, turn that excitement into new members. The Bring-A-Buddy program offers a fun and rewarding challenge for our members to reach out to a brand new group of potential BMX racers with the goal of increasing membership and local competition. For more information on the program contact your local track and get started today. The program is brought to you by the National Bicycle League, Hyper Bicycles, Camp Woodward, Tangent Products, Sinz Racing Products, Vigor Helmets, and BMX Plus! Magazine.”
