“You’ve probably noticed the topic “”Slingshot”" in the forum if you are a regular reader. The topic is super hot right now all over the over the world. There are quite a few riders taking advantage of the grandfather rule book cluase regarding gate starts. This “”Slingshot”" style start has caused some tention in the AA Pro class and thestart technique has trickled down to the younger classes. Is it wrong? Is it cheating? Is it better? All we can tell at this time is that the Vet AA’s don’t like it and some of the new school hopefulls are running the show at the gate. Botttom line is, if its legal its staying.
