“CMC Avent Bombshell – Kearney, Nebraska Report”

March 11, 2006 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

“March 5, 2006 — In case you havent heard, CMC Avent Bombshell shucked the husks right off the competition this weekend in Kearney, Nebraska! Saturday all three teams were on fire as Factory took first, Bike Shop won third, and Trophy took first. Before Sundays mains, Peter Kuehn headed to the finish line carrying a broom, knowing the team would sweep the second day of competition. Factory took first, Bike Shop won sixth, and Trophy placed second.”"CMC unleashed Double Trouble as Alise The Beast Post and Sassy Samantha Bretheim made their National debut as teammates, dominating 15 Girls, 14-16 Girls Cruiser, 13-14 Mixed Open, and 14 girls both days. The junior double troublers Flying T Teresa Nowdomski and Amy McIntyre disappointed no one when they shared wins this weekend. And then theres the youngest up-and-coming Nowdomski star: Million Dollar Madeline took first in 6 Girls both days. This from the 5-year-old who, at her very first National ever, in Desoto last year walked away with a win the first day of competition, but informed her mom the next day she was shooting to get a second place trophy because she wanted to collect one of each size trophy! After leaving his competition at least a straight away in the dust in Saturdays 6 Novice class, Markie Marc McArthur took his sixth win and transferred to 6 Intermediate in Sundays main! Congratulations to Markie and the McArthur Possy! After a nasty fall that caused paramedics to carry her off the track on a stretcher, Attitude Ashlee Fox bounced back to race Sunday. Total strangers asked anyone wearing CMC apparel how she was. Were all thankful youre okay, Ashlee! Our very own Ryan Whitesides cashed in at this A Pro National, taking third Friday, fourth Saturday, and fifth Sunday. For a complete list of Cornhusker results, visit the ABA Web Site. We finally had a chance to meet a few of our newest riders and their families as we welcomed Jason McGuire and his dad John from Nampa, Idaho; Christopher Duncan and dad Tom Fischer from Meridian, Idaho; Rachel Hopperdietzel and her dad Gordon, who also races, from Rapid City, South Dakota (Victoria had a hockey tournament last weekend, so she and mom Jolene couldnt make the trip); Parker Geffre and his parents Cory and Tammi (I think he has a sibling or two I hope to meet at the next National) from Aberdeen, South Dakota; and Jack Tenas from Missouri City, Texas. Between motos Saturday, we celebrated two riders birthdays. Amy McIntyre turned 10 Saturday and Jason McGuire had already partied with his family and friends back home to celebrate his 15th birthday February 26. Congratulations to all riders and support staff (thats you Moms, Dads, siblings, other family members, and friends) for an AWESOME weekend of racing!!!
