Brandon Meadows Update
“Well I am going on week number 3 of the healing process, and already it has seemed like a lifetime. For most of you, you know what I am talking about. Making an active person become a passive person is rough. I can say one thing though, I have graduated from the walker to some crutches thinking that the walker was slowing me down, and it was, to an extent. But again being on crutches is not the highlight of my day. Try and get something to eat from the kitchen and bring it back the the couch, not easy.”"I have been to the doctor once since the surgery here at home. It was good to here the doctor say that the surgeon who perform the surgery did a great job. They removed the 35 staples in my leg, took some ex-rays, and told me to come back in 6 weeks. At that appointment she said that I will probably be able to start walking on both legs, with a little help from a cane and some rehab. So I can’t wait for that appointment. The little things of walking again are so exciting. On the other hand, the family is good. Again we appreciate all the help from everyone in the BMX community, you have help take some pressure off of us. I am currently staying at home with Emma, who is going to be 7 weeks old, while Sarah went back to work on Monday from her maternity leave. So it is a little challenging with me on crutches changing diapers, making bottles, and all the other stuff that comes with having a little one. But we are managing and trying to look at things in a positive way. Again a huge thanks goes out to everyone who has helped. Especially Robbie Mirranda, Tangent Crew, and Derek Novaes, you are all true friends, and I am glad to call you that. Everyone have a good weekend and enjoy riding you bike. I will soon be there again. Meadows Family”
