2006 UCI BMX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS INFO
“Bob Tedesco, NBL Managing Director, reports that the entry form for the 2006 UCI BMX World Championship/ Challenge, to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is posted on the web(see link next page) and is also in the Jan/Feb issue of BMX Today. Challenge class riders that earned a top 16 National number plate in the 2005 NBL National Series that align with the UCI class structure are qualified to compete in Brazil.”"Elite and Junior athletes have to have earned at least one point in UCI World Ranking competition during the 2006 season. In addition, any rider who earned a World number 1 through 8 plate at the 2005 UCI World Championship/Challenge event in Paris are already invited and are not part of the qualifying athlete count per the 05 NBL National Series qualifying criteria. Please watch for updates regarding additional qualifying criteria for classes that are not filled per the above to be set by USA Cycling, Inc. Riders that do not meet the above requirements may send a letter requesting to be a part of Team USA, should any positions become available. Entry forms must be postmarked by April 3, 2006.
