King of BMX
“This is Nathan Strieby, Track Manager of Lake Sullivan BMX in Indianapolis, IN. I am sending you info and a flyer about a contest we have coming on September 24 & 25. It is called the King of BMX, and it consists of a competition for the overall best BMX Bike handler. Riders have to use one bike, with no modifications in between events, and compete in a Street/Park contest, a Dirt jumping contest, and a BMX race. THere are no clip pedals allowed in the race, only flat pedals. This contest is for those who are good at BMX as a whole, not constrained to doing one part of it or another.”"We ran this contest last year, it went well, we had close to 30 contestants. This year, we have upped the cash prize, with a larger name sponsor, Toyota Scion, and we have also added the Queen of BMX, in response to the growing number of female freestylers out there, so they can match skills with the Racer girls already out there. THis will also be the first time a “”freestyle”" event has offered a cash prize to female riders. A page in the history books. We are needing some product sponsors for the event, and we are hoping that you would be interested in maybe sending some stuff our way. Twenty BMX, BMXMania.com, Transit Video Magazine, and IsportsTV.net will be covering this contest. So if you would like to sponsor the event with some product, let me know. Here is the address for the Lake Sullevan Sports Complex, which features a BMX track, Jump course, concrete skatepark, and for the roadies out there, the Major Taylor Velodrome. Major Taylor Velodrome Lake Sullivan Sports Complex 3649 Cold Spring Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46222 If you need to call me about anything, here is the number: 317-327-8356. Thanks so much for your time, and hope to hear from you!!”
