June 30, 2005 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

“The ACE Bike Shop/Avent BMX Team Outta’ Springfield, Illinois won the Team NBL division for the third time this year. The team packed up and went to their home-away-from-home track;–B-E-A-utiful Evansville! The conditions were very hot and dry; but the E-ville crew and The NBL did a great job this year. Almost the whole team made the trip-and here’s how they did!”"Colby Bossman-5n-Colby is our new “little guy”-he went from rookie to novice in a couple of months-…ummm; he’s fast! His best was a 2nd on Sunday. Talon Tapscott-8r- Tally used his good gate starts and smooth style for a crashing 5th on Saturday and a big ol’ win on Sunday! Yeah! Danny Downey-8n- Little Danny got a 3rd on Saturday and then showed some real power on Sunday to also take a big honkin’ 1st place! Kelley Cottrill-8g- Kelley is new to our team, and she can kick some girl bootie too! A  2nd and 4th on her 20” rocked! Jordan Murray-9x- Jordan is such a good jumper; it’s scary!

His terrible gates are also scary; but he’ll be back to better his two 6th places, soon! Skyler Prather-11x- Sky had a decent weekend; a 5th and a 7th- he’s a hard worker and he will improve this summer. Jordan Ryan-11x- What can we say about Jordan?- He Dominates! He won on Saturday and got upset Sunday for a 2nd ; which only makes him stronger…Yikers! Seath Hubbs-12n- Seaths 4th and 7th places are nice and consistent for a guy who doesn’t race a lot of Nationals-sweet! A.J. DeVault-13x- A.J.’D. looked a little tentative this weekend; but, he has skills. Will he unlock that door and use them? We hope so! Matt Cottrill-14r- Matt is finding new skills everyday-he won’t be a Rookie much longer! Corbyn Bell-14x- Corbin got a new helmet; and a new attitude. His two 8th places aren’t indicative of his hard work on practice nights. “Rise, Lord Vader!” Luke Meeker-15n- Luke-E made a rare appearance and got a 5th on Saturday. “Luke, I am your Father- and I want you to start practicing!” Holla! Shane Bertoni-16x- ‘Shane-Bert’ has the hardest class of all-16x-and he still makes top 5 consistently! He’s steadily rising to the top…! Congrats on his two 5th’s! David Carron-17x- David is on a strict training program this summer- 5th in 17 Cruiser, not too shabby!  Chris Brinkmeyer-Superclass- Brinky turned ‘Super’ this weekend and didn’t get smoked too bad! More practice is in his future! Jeremy Lehnen-22-29x- J-Rock was hard at it all weekend for a 4th and a 3rd. He will peak later this summer for sure! Pete Meeker-35-39c- Pete is the old guy in 35-39; which is dang hard. An 8th and a 5th  only motivate him to practice harder-watch out suckas’! Jeff Tapscott-40-44c- Tappa Joe is the young guy in 40-44, but he got some elbow-lovin’ on Saturday. Give him two 1sts for the weekend! Dan Downey and Kenny DeVault-Thanks to these guys, everyone had shade, water, babysitters, winning team sheets…etc.!
