MCS Bicycles Dominates Florida Series…
“Well, the 2005 Florida State Season has come and gone. This years championship race was held at St. Cloud BMX. Which is located in St. Cloud, Florida, about 30 min. South of Orlando. The weather leading up to the weekend didnt look to promising. but the rain held off and the SSA was able to pull off the 187 moto event with hardly any delays.”"The team came into the event in first place. The championship race is double points so anything could happen. Everybody was having a great day. The track wasnt too hard so the speeds were up and the motos just flew by. Then we got down to it, main event time! With the caliber of the other teams in the series (J&R Bicycles, IC Bikes, One Bicycles, FMF/Extremeathletes.com and Dingo Bicycles) it wasnt going to be a cake walk. When the smoke cleared we finished 2nd on the day, just four points behind J&R Bicycles, and first place for the series. It was a great season for everyone. Aaron Cartwright took home two number one plates in 10 Expert and 10-11 Cruiser. Bryan Kipp, who turned 12 on the day of the championship, killed them in class and 12-13 Cruiser, for double number ones. Jonathan Villa un-clipped down the hill and was able to work his way back to 5th place for a #2 plate in 18-21 Expert. Our anchor man, Raul Gomez, came through with a double in 30-34 Expert and 30-34 Cruiser, for another double #1 State Plate. A special mention goes out to our Pros, Amanda Geving and Jonathan Suarez. Amanda, in her rookie year, has been able to pull off the #1 plate in Pro girls. Taking the lead on the first straight and never looking back. She has a very bright future ahead of her. On the male side of the spectrum. The Pro mens class was billed to be a showdown. The talent pool runs deep in Florida. Mosquito was able to come from behind, in one of the best races we have seen in a long time, to take the lead into the last turn and bring it in for the win and the title. This year was great! We had an awesome time at every event. I would like to thank the SSA for giving us an opportunity to compete as a team. All of the Money teams (J&R Bicycles, IC Bikes, One Bicycles, FMF/Extremeathletes.com and Dingo Bicycles) for another great year of competition. Most certainly our sponsors who make it possible for us to do it; Answer, Odyssey, Profile, Sun Rims, ATi, UGP, Hammer, Maxxis, Cane Creek and Diatech, you guys are awesome. Thank you very much! Thats four in a row. Lets hope we can make it five next year! Again, Thank you for the support! Brian Fell MCS Bicycles”
