"November 12, 1992 Redline Shock Forks & Bordellos

Actual Journal Entry:
Woke up at the P.O.W. house & some of us went to Sheep Hills. BMX Plus was there testing a Redline with shock forks. They had me do nose wheelies over a tabletop. Thats the shot that they want for the cover! That would be cool if Im on it. At night, I went to the P.O.W. house & we watched 90210 & then went to Bordellos nightclub. We had a large posse. I got caught two times sneaking beer out of the taps, but I didnt get kicked out. Two big brawls started on the dance floor. We were all jumping in and stuff. Good fun. When were leaving, all kinds of stuff almost happened in the parking lot. It was stupid, but definitely funny. Got back & stayed the night at the P.O.W. house."

"Looking Back Now:
First of all, lets talk about those shock forks! Believe it or not, some people used to ride their BMX bikes with those goofy things. Im happy to say that I never used them on my bike. But it would have been a classic photo if I were on the cover of BMX Plus riding a Redline with shock forks! In case youre wondering, Dave Clymer got the cover photo riding that bike. Bordellos was a nightclub put on by Rikky Rachtmen.

Remember Head Bangers Ball on MTV? He was the first host of that show. So it goes without saying that this club played all the grunge music that was just starting to become popular. Nirvana, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Ministry, and all of the other bands that would get every guy on the dance floor jumping on everyone else. This was the recipe for chaos. We never got into any one-on-one fistfights. But we would always be right in the center of any brawls that encompassed the whole dance floor. This night in particular, our whole crew about got into it with a bunch of people in the parking lot. But my cow-foot comment broke the tension www.TODDLYONS.com"
