ACE Bike Shop/Avent wins at NBL Nashville!

“The ACE Bike Shop/Avent BMX Team from Springfield, Illinois traveled down to The NBLs Dixieland Nationals and won their second Team Trophy of the 2005 Season on Day 1 and placed 4th on Day 2. Friday started out a little wet, and we werent able to practice due to a constant sprinkling of rain. Saturday morning wasnt much better-but, it didnt actually rain-just gloominess, cold temps and mud! The Nashville Crew and The NBL did a great job of preparing the track for us. While we only had half of the team in attendance, we had most of the big main makers with us.”"The riders who threw it down last weekend were: Shane Bertoni-16x- This guy gets faster at every race and will kick some bootie this summer for sure. Corbyn Bell-14x- Corbyn was having trouble with the big step, but still managed a 4th on day 1. Corbyn is sick of mid-pack rides and will rev it up this summer too. Andy Shimkus-15N- The new guy-Rocks! He got a big old win with Semis on Saturday and had a gate snafu on Sunday and still got a 4th! Holla! Jordan Ryan-11x- This guy is so fast its ridiculous! Score him with two big wins and some new respect in 11x, baby! Skyler Prather-11x- Sky had some janky gates, but still came through for the team with a 4th and 5th! His results will be on the rise also. Jordan Murray-9x- Lil Jordy had an off weekend; 6th on Saturday-but hell be back at Evansville jumping all of the big jumps for sure. Danny Downey-8N- Danny had a huge 1st on Saturday and a 4th on Sunday. He will work on his consistency and will rock Akron next weekend. Talon Tapscott-8R- Lil Tally is usually the smallest monkey on the gate; but he tries hard and has good track speed. He got a 2nd and a 3rd for the weekend and is now clipped in!-so watch out suckas! Jeff Tapscott-40C- Jeff is the young guy in 40C, so he better produce for us! He did just that with two wins. Dan Downey-Factory Mechanic- Thanks to Dan for babysitting, mud removal and everything else we made him do!
