Revtec Bicycles Press Release

April 8, 2005 by BMXNEWS.COM Editors

“The Revtec Pros went to Florida to race the Best In BMX NBL Spring Break Tournaments aboard the new 2005 Elite frames and let their presence be known. Being that these two races counted for the valuable UCI World Rankings, throw in that the All Bub Association couldnt get the Horseheads, NY track to commit for the conflict so the Elite qualifying motos were full, Bub saw semis at a race for once, and the world got a sneak preview of what to expect for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.”"Greg Romero-Elite Pro The first weekend in Orlando was Gregs first race back feeling 100% healed up from a car accident that has plagued him from training since August. Now that he is all healed up, his confidence is building, winning many qualifying laps on his Gay-Pink Pro Xl, making 3 out of 4 mains. With scoring a 3rd in Pro Open, Greg proves hes back in the mix, but shows he is out of shape being that he went from 1st to 4th almost every lap on the 1400 ft. long Orlando race course. Greg then took this confidence to the second weekend in Tampa where he scored a big win in Pro Open, doing the impossible of beating BMXs Superstar, Bubba Harris from start to finish by a convincible 6 bike lengths. Greg also backed it up by making the Elite main and placing a respectable 4th in a star studded field of the best 24 BMX pros in the world recognized by the United Stated Olympic Committee. At 31 years old and washed up, Romero looks to take his training and confidence up a notch and bring it to Nellis, Nevada for stop 4 on the NBL Road to Glory series. Greg Romero is proudly sponsored by RevtecBicycles.com, Marzocchi Forks, Fox Gear, Shimano, Tangent, Maxxis, S&M, Profile, Sun Rims, and ODI. Be sure to check Gregs lame site at www.gregromero.com where he is full of himself, talks about nothing, and crys about no pro open and hates this because he cant have more opportunities on the track to promote to the fans. Derek Betcher- Superclass Pro Derek is back on the race scene again after a making the big decision to reclassify to Superclass (A-pro) being that he does not have the pull, nor the support to be an Elite pro. Revtec recognizes Dereks ability to be a top Superclass rider over an Elite moto-filler, therefore we brought him onboard. Derek made 2out of 2 Superclass mains with a respectable 7th on Saturday and a big win on Sunday. Derek stayed the week in Florida partying up the spring break scene, waking up with hangovers, and still made 2 out of 2 Superclass mains scoring a 6th and 2nd in Tampa. Derek will be the top contender for the year-end Superclass title come Louisville Grands time. Dereks sponsors are always down for the controversy and the ones that love him are: RevtecBicycles.com, Fox racing, Answer Forks, Puma, Spy, Shimano, Applied Rubbers and Vegas City Night life and any chick he posts a pic of on his gay site at www.derekbetcher.com Shane Vincent-Elite Pro Shane is still cheesing and has a girlfriend, therefore he doesnt race. Rumor has it that Shane wants to be a cop. Being that Shane is stubborn, we at Revtec believe this could happen. Shane did finally put together his New Revtec Elite Pro XXL frame though and hopefully he will stop sympin and get back to the track to throw his hips into the handlebars. We believe his 2005 debut will be at the ABA Tournament in Desoto, TX while the G and DB will be at NBL Tournament in South Park, PA. Shanes Nothing a month sponsors include: A Ford Explorer truck payment, living at home and wanting to get married at 20. Awesome. If you want to buy one of our hand made- non Taiwan frames and dont feel like riding so intense like everyone else, visit us at www.revtecbicycles.com or bother G about frame geometries at (405) 285-6962 (dont leave a message, we wont call you back).”
