The 2005 GT Bicycles Team has been announced. For the Race Team it looks like Randy Stumpfhauser and Christophe Leveque will be the core riders. Now we have heard some rumors that Christophe would not be on the team….. But according to this Press Release things look good for Leveque. Consistently one of the strongest BMX teams in the world, this years crew is no exception. Once again weve amassed an exceptional BMX team, said Travis Chipres, director of sports marketing for GT. Weve got great sponsor, dealer and fan support and current champions riding for GT this year. This team is unstoppable. BMX Race: Randy Stumpfhauser returns to the team after a phenomenal 2004. Randy is the current ABA world champ as well as the reigning UCI World Champ for the third time in a row. Hell be the man to beat in 05. Christophe Leveque also returns to the GT/Hyundai race team in 2005. Christophe was hurt most of the 2004 season but came back at the end of the season to place 2nd at the RM59 Tropical Challenge in Puerto Rico. Hes ready to add more trophies to his mantle this year. BMX Dirt/Vert/Street: To say that current Jamie Bestwick (Vert) had a good 2004 would be an understatement. Jamie won gold at the Gravity Games, he won the first round of CFB at Woodward West and Jamies Good Times Contest aired on the Fuel Channel. This seasoned pro still has new tricks up his sleeve. We cant wait to see. The world sat up and took notice of Stephen Murray (Dirt/Street) in 04, and this year, Stephen is ready to really show them what hes made of. In 2004 Stephen placed 3rd in Dirt at the Gravity Games, 2nd at the Vans Triple Crown in Denver, and 3rd at the Vans Triple Crown. This is going to be a very good year for the young Englishman. The versatile Dave Dillewaard (Dirt/Vert/Street/Stunt Show) is like a Swiss Army knife: he does it all. This guy rides every freestyle discipline there is and he does it with style. In 2004 Dave cranked out a 7th place finish in Street at the Gravity Games, took 11th place in Dirt and placed 7th in overall at the King of Dirt Pro Series Championship. Go get em, Dilly.
