DC Race Video and Results
“The DC Sprint Trials race was awesome. If you didnt show up (Dale) you really missed out on a great time. The rain did come over night but the tarps and the help of Danny Meadows the track couldnt have been any better. Randy and his crew have been working on the track for two months and a little rain wasnt going to hurt it. Check out the Gallery from the Race Race time started off with a one lap time trial with Mikey Day taking the pole position over homeowner Stumpy. Miranda followed 3rd with Purse in for 4th. A few people must have not been riding flat pedals prior to the race because there was a lot of pedal slipping on the first straight.”"
Once the Heats started the racing got good. Miranda and Dylan Clayton with close all the way to the line with RM59 moving on. Tyler Brown moved on along with Agusto Castro to join Day, Stump, Meadows and Purse. Quarters left Miranda and Meadows to battle back and forth with Brandon moving on to the Semis. Mike Day raced Dylan Clayton and moved on along with Purse and Stumpy. The Mains were going to be the best race of the day with the two top qualifiers going head to head. First main was all Mike Day taking the first turn really good and barely edging out Stumpy for the win. Second main the rain started to fall and it was looking like this could be a slippery lap. Right out of the gate both riders hit the DC Banner in-between the first jump to stay low and keep their speed up. Stumpy is the king of the inside first turn and it showed as he railed it so fast. Down the second straight he rode so fast and took that to the line where he blew up and did a cart wheel. It didnt matter though it was enough to take the win and the $1500. All in all the race went off without a hitch and DC did a great job getting everything together. Next year this can only be better with more people and more hype. Good job Stump!”
