NBL Gives Back!
“The 2005 NBL Competition Congress went off without a hitch this past weekend at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. NBL volunteers, track directors, state commissioners and other visitors from all across the United States and Puerto Rico gathered in the Music City to discuss the current state of the NBL and BMX racing. The NBL awarded $68,228 back to its tracks, state associations and Bob Warnicke Scholarship winners.”"The NBL is not only promoting BMX racing all over the world, but also giving back to its core! Elections were held and Georgia McClain from Nevada and Jerry Patterson from New York were elected to a one-year term on the NBL’s Non-Board Nominating Committee. Don Olson from Connecticut and Ken Masters from Michigan were successfully elected to a two-year term on the NBL’s Board of Directors. Don and Ken are replacing Richard Bunt from Alabama and Mark Magin from Florida. A special thanks goes out to both Richard and Mark for all of their hard work and efforts to help make the NBL better! The NBL also awarded its “”Volunteers of the Year”" award to Paul and Rhonda DePauw from East Moline BMX Speedway in East Moline, Illinois. Thanks to both Paul and Rhonda for all of their dedication to NBL BMX! An awesome gathering was held on Saturday night at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville. The free party and dinner buffet was hosted by the NBL, Sunshine State Association (Florida), Pro Stuff L.L.C. and William Corbelli. Door prizes from TB Trophies, DK Bicycles, Fly Racing, Profile Racing and Free Agent were handed out and enjoyed by all. Thanks to all who supported Congress and we will see you all next year for the 2006 NBL Competition Congress in Las Vegas, Nevada!”
